How do I create DNS records for my Pro List?
When you order a 'Pro List' new DNS records are needed for your domain so that your mailing-list emails get delivered to our Mailman servers.
Adding the DNS records is commonly done on your web-hosting company's website. You can login to your account there and find a link to something like 'Domain Manager', or 'Custom DNS Records'.
If you can't find where to edit your DNS records let us know. We've seen most types of setups and will be able to assist you, or simply do it for you.
The information that needs to be entered into your new DNS records can be found in your Account.
The DNS records you will need to add are:
- A record
- AAAA record
- MX record
- TXT record (for SPF)
- TXT record (for DMARC)

Each web-hosting company will have it's own interface where you can manage your DNS records, but the principles are the same. Don't copy the data in the examples -- the real data that you'll need is in your Account.
When your DNS records have been added and have propagated around the world (which can take a few hours) we can then create the SSL certificate for your sub-domain, plus add a key for one more record:
- TXT (for DKIM)
Although it's not essential for your list to function, a DKIM record will help prevent your mailing-list emails getting tagged as spam. So we encourage you to add it once your list is active.
